Lynne Gettelfinger holds a Bachelor's Degree in Textiles and Clothing from Indiana University, and has been sewing and working with fabric for nearly 50 years. She is fascinated with the color, the feel, and the visual textures found in fabric. In her art quilts, she has combined her love of tropical climates and ocean life with the color and textures of the fabric and threads she uses to "paint" her underwater, or near-the-water scenes. Wearables and art quilts have been featured in Belle Armoire Magazine (Spring 2003 & Summer 2003), “Salon,” a special publication of Belle Armoire Magazine, and two quilts appear in the book Seascape Quilts by Cyndy Rymer and C&T Publishing.
