Keith Fred’s Ilfochrome photographs depict architectural details and facades in Mexico, the Caribbean as well as the United States. They are all direct positive-to-positive prints from medium format transparencies, which are neither altered nor cropped. This process faithfully produces the colors exactly how the photographer encountered them. Ilfochrome prints are renowned for their archival properties, stability and longevity. Keith studied under Barbara Blondeau and Ray K. Metzger at the Philadelphia College of Art, now known as the University of the Arts. Keith’s work has also graced more than a dozen Washington Post Weekend section covers.
