| Janet Flynn's interest in beads and needlework began at an early age. Her formal education included nursing, anthropology and educational psychology. She has also studied beading, silvermaking, glass fusing and wirework for her artistic endeavors. She has created several new bead techniques and incorporates them in her unique one-of-a-kind pieces. "I discovered that I can visualize my ideas in my mind's eye. Sometimes the designs look the way I "saw" them, other times they take on a life of their own. Occasionally, they look like a surreal representation of what I "saw." Many times my mind's eye works faster than my needle so I save these ideas for a time when there will be enough time, if ever."
