As ceramic artists, we talk about pots with human attributes. How the foot, shoulder, the hip and the belly of the vessel relates. How the neck is agile and flowing and how the vessel is graceful. Or maybe even the complete opposite. This made me think about the common denominators in this world. So in doing this composition ... I represented that everything is different, yet can be related in many ways and how the small world effect theorizes in how through just five or six intermediaries we could be linked to millions of others. Like this representation, we are connected to each other regardless of any differences we see.
