Decorative porcelain raku vase. This one-of-a-kind horse hair-fired vessel is wheelthrown, handpainted, and burnished to a smooth, lustrous finish. The lid is set with a piece of fossilized bone collected from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay. Raku pieces are porous and should not be used to hold water.
