For almost 30 years in his studio in the northern Maryland countryside, David Paul Bacharach has been working with hand-woven metal inspired by diverse artistic and cultural sources. “I was attracted to the weaving process primarily because of its spontaneity, a trait that is essential to my method of working.” Bacharach's work ranges from wall compositions to furniture pieces and sculptural baskets to jewelry that mixes rustic copper with pearls. Some of Bacharach's work can be designed for outside use. He accepts commissions for furniture, sculpture, wall pieces and outdoor fountains. David’s work graces an impressive array of private collections as well as public and corporate buildings and museums throughout the country including the White House, the American Craft Museum, Arkansas Arts Center Museum, Monsanto Corporation, Fidelity Investments and the American Embassy in Singapore.
